Its redesigned ink circuit, with dual white ink cartridges and internal cooling, ensures stable production even under heavy use — fewer interruptions, less cleaning, less waste. S-PG2 inks, certified OEKO-TEX® Eco Passport, deliver vivid colours and excellent wash durability. Roland DG Connect Designer and VersaWorks 7 software (one-click automatic white layer generation) simplify the workflow from design to print.

Roland DG VersaSTUDIO BY2-20

The BY2-20's ink circuit has been fully redesigned: increased head pressure, dual white ink lines, internal cooling system and enhanced filtration against impurities. The result: reliable continuous production with minimal nozzle failures, even on long runs.

Two operating modes in one machine

VersaWorks 7 - White layer management

Before: for any white area in an image, a full mask had to be manually created in the design software, the "Roland White" colour applied, then the CMYK and white layers sent separately to the RIP (10 to 30 minutes of work).
Now: VersaWorks 7 generates the white layer with a single click, from PDF, EPS, PS files and now transparent PNG — the layer is created automatically from areas where CMYK = 0% or RGB = 255,255,255, excluding the background.
