Inkjet transfer (DTF)

Direct to Film for heat transfer on textiles (DTF).

New DTF technology allows you to produce your own transfer films at a lower cost, whether you have individual designs or large editions.

With this printing technology, any 4-color (CMYK) pattern is printed by an inkjet printer on transparent film (PET).

The printer deposits the white layer (undercoat) directly on the colors, resulting in an opaque undercoat.

The print is then sprinkled with powdered glue.

Once the excess glue has been recovered for future use, the film is then passed through an oven in order to gel the glue for passage under a press or possible storage.

You can then proceed to the heat transfer step on all kinds of textiles such as cotton, polyester, nylon and mixed compositions.

This technique has many advantages: no pre-treatment necessary, no stripping, quick and easy application, excellent washing resistance and extreme elasticity.

This technique is available in manual process up to max A3 size and in automated process for printing on rolls of 61cm x 100m.
